As ‘n trotse Courtraier wat graag respek by ander wil afdwing, onderneem ek, met die steun van my ouers/voogde, die volgende ten opsigte van netheid:

• Om te alle tye alle vorme van netheid op my persoon,  skooluniform, sportdrag, en

    boeke aan my toevertrou, te handhaaf.

• Om geen modegiere na te volg nie, met inbegrip van haarstyle, die kleur van hare, die

    dra van oorringe en armbande, ens.

• Om om te sien na die netheid van my skoolgebou en skoolterrein.  Daarom sal ek nie

    rommel strooi of enige optrede openbaar wat my skooleiendom sal beskadig of onnet sal

    laat nie.

 As trotse Courtraier moet my optrede altyd bydra om ‘n positiewe beeld van myself en my skool uit te dra en daarom onderneem ek, met die steun van my ouers/voogde, om my by die volgende beginsels van ordentlikheid te hou:

• Ek sal skooltye en skoolkwartale as verpligtend eerbiedig en dit stiptelik handhaaf.
• As die eerste skoolklok lui, sal ek ordelik in die rye inval en op toestemming wag om die

    gebou binne te gaan.  (Op reëndae sal ek egter stil in die gang voor my klas aantree.)

• In die gange beweeg ons stil, agtermekaar en aan die linkerkant.  Om die mure te

    beskerm, dra ek 'n tas in die hand weg van die muur af.

• Om my te weerhou van enige optrede wat my skool se naam in oneer of diskrediet sal

    bring.  As Courtraier sal my gedrag dus voldoen aan die gestelde en sosiaal aanvaarbare

    norme.

• Om onder geen omstandighede die skoolgronde tydens amptelike skoolure sonder die

    verlof van die skoolhoof, of sy gedelegeerde, te verlaat nie.

• Wanneer ek afwesig was, sal my ouer/voog met my terugkeer na die skool ter 

    verduideliking van my afwesigheid met die skool skakel.  Indien ek 'n aansteeklike siekte

    onderlede het, sal ek tuis bly totdat ek volkome herstel het.

• Ek sal verantwoordelik optree teenoor daardie buitemuurse bedrywighede, mede leerders

    en personeel waarby ek betrokke is. Indien ek dus nie ‘n oefening kan bywoon nie, sal ek

    persoonlik by die betrokke personeellid verskoning aanbied.  Ek besef ook dat dit bloot

    ordentlik is om daardie verskoning voor die aanvang van die buitemuurse aktiwiteit te 

    maak.

• Ek sal daarna streef om in alle skoolaktiwiteite my beste te lewer, en in besonder my

    tuiswerk volledig te voltooi en betyds in te handig.

• Geklee in my amptelike skooldrag of sportdrag, sal ek nie in die openbaar, of onder geen

    omstandighede op die skoolterrein, kougom kou nie.

• Ek sal verantwoordelik met die gebruik van ‘n selfoon optree, en dit onder geen

    omstandighede sonder die verlof van die skoolhoof tydens amptelike skoolure gebruik

    nie. 

 Respek is ‘n kernwoord in die mondering van enige persoon wat hom/haar ‘n Courtraier wil noem en daarom verbind ek my, met die steun van my ouers/voogde,  tot die volgende:

• Ek sal altyd respek teenoor ‘n ander persoon en sy/haar eiendom betoon.  Ek weet dit is

    verkeerd om ‘n ander te beledig of sy/haar persoon aan te tas of om ander se eiendom

    te beskadig.

• Ek sal die nodige eerbied en respek vir my skool, sy etos en geboue betoon en dus nie op

    mure of banke krap nie, vandalisme pleeg nie of met rolskaatse, skaatsplanke of fietse op

    die skoolterrein ry nie.

 Ek besef dat ernstige wangedrag glad nie by ‘n Courtraier pas nie en daarom sal ek, met die steun van my ouers/voogde, die volgende vorme van wangedrag, wat tot tugmaatreëls teen my kan lei, vermy:

• In die besit wees van enige wapens, of speelgoed, of enige ander voorwerp wat op enige

    wyse ander kan beseer of benadeel.

• In besit van ongewenste leesstof wees.
• My skuldig maak aan enige vorm van diefstal of in besit wees van gesteelde goedere.
• Vandalisme pleeg.
• Oneerlikheid tydens toetse en eksamens.
• In besit wees van alkoholiese drank, afhanklikheidsvormende middels of sigarette.
• Vloek, bakleiery, boelie of enige vorm van naamskending.
• Om sonder verlof van die skoolhoof die skoolterrein te verlaat.
• Enige optrede wat die goeie naam van die skool in oneer bring.
• Enige oortreding van skoolreëls of die Gedragskode wat herhaaldelik voorkom.
• Enige ongemagtigde toegang tot punte- en datalêers.
• Selfoon : Die skool aanvaar geen verantwoordelikheid en/of aanspreeklikheid vir selfone

    wat leerders skool toe bring nie.  Behalwe vir  noodgevalle, mag selfone nie tydens

    skoolure gebruik word nie.

 Met die voltooiing van die meegaande onderneming aanvaar ek en my ouers/voogde as trotse Courtraiers dus bogenoemde en verbind ons ons sodoende tot die volgende:

• Dat ek my onderwerp aan alle gedrags-, dissiplinêre-, orde- en interne reëlings wat deur

    die skoolhoof en/of personeel en/of Beheerliggaam getref word vir die handhawing en

    versterking van die goeie orde en dissipline in die skool.

•  Dat ek die Gedragskode en Erekode van Laerskool Courtrai te alle tye in ere sal hou en

     handhaaf.

•  Dat my ouers hulle neerlê by alle reëlings wat vir die handhawing en versterking van

     goeie orde en dissipline van die skool, die veiligheid van die leerders van die skool en sy 

    personeel getref word.

 Eenmaal ‘n Courtraier, altyd ‘n Courtraier!

As a proud Courtraier who wants to command respect, I shall, with the support of my parents/guardians, subscribe to the following rules with regard to neatness:

• To maintain all forms of neatness on my person and on school uniforms, baggage,

    sportswear and  books allocated to me.

• Not to follow a fashion trend in respect of hairstyle, hair colour, or to wear

    bracelets or earrings, etc.

• To care for the neatness of my school building and grounds: therefore I shall not litter, or

    damage school property.

 As a proud Coutraier my conduct must always contribute to the positive image of my school and myself. With the support of my parents/guardians, I undertake to abide by the following principles of decent behaviour:

• I shall abide by the set times and dates for attendance at school and will adhere to them

    punctually.

• At the first bell I will line up in an orderly manner until being given permission to enter the

    building. (On rainy days I may line up quietly in the corridor in front of my classroom)

• I will walk quietly in lines and on the left-hand side of corridors.  In order to protect the

    walls,  I shall carry my school bag in the hand away from the wall.

• I shall refrain from any action that will dishonour my school's name. As a Courtraier my

    conduct will comply with the set and socially accepted norms.

• I shall not leave the school grounds without the permission of the principal or his delegate

    during official school hours.

• If I have been absent from school, my parents/guardians will contact the school and give

    an explanation on my return to school.  If a learner has an infectious disease he/she must

    stay at home until fully recovered.

• I shall act responsibly when participating in extra-mural activities and towards fellow

    learners and staff. I shall apologize personally to the relevant staff member if I cannot

    attend a practice. I realize that it is courteous to make such an apology prior to the

    extra-mural activity, whenever possible.

• I shall strive to give my utmost best in school activities and homework and will always try to

    hand my homework in on time.

• When wearing the school uniform during or after hours learners must at all times be

    dressed properly.

• I shall act responsibly when using a cell phone and under no circumstances use it without

    the permission of the principal during school hours.

 Respect is a key word for each member of Courtrai. Therefore, with the support of my parents/guardians, I undertake to do the following:

• I shall always show respect towards another person and his/her property. I know it is

    wrong to insult somebody else or to damage his/her property.

• I shall show the required honour and respect towards my school, its ethos and buildings

    and shall not write on walls or desks, vandalize, ride roller-skates, rollerblades, skating

    boards or bicycles on the school grounds.

 I realize that serious misconduct does not befit a Courtraier. Therefore I shall, with the support of my parents/guardians, avoid the following forms of misconduct that might lead to disciplinary measures against me:

• Being in possession of any weapons, toys or any other object that can injure or harm

    anybody else in any way.

• Being in possession of undesirable reading material.
• Guilty of any form of theft or possession of stolen goods.
• Vandalism
• Being dishonest in tests and examinations
• Being in possession of cigarettes, drugs or alcohol
• Swearing, fighting , bullying or any form of defamation.
• Leaving the school premises without the permission of the principal
• Any action that will bring dishonour to the name of the school
• Repeated transgression of the school rules or the Code of Conduct
• Unauthorized access to mark- data files.
• Cell Phone : The school cannot accept responsibility  and/or accountability for cell phones

    brought to school by learners.  Except for a case of emergency, learners may not use a cell

    phone during school hours.

 As a proud Courtraier my parents/guardian and I accept the above and agree to the following by completing the enclosed undertaking:

• That I submit myself to all internal arrangements with regard to behaviour, discipline and

    order that are made by the principal and/or staff and/or Governing Board in order to

    maintain and enhance good order and discipline at the school.

• That I shall honour and adhere to the Code of Conduct of Courtrai Primary School at all

    times.

• That my parents submit themselves to all arrangements that are made for the

    implementation and maintenance of good order and discipline of the school and the safety

    of the learners and the staff.

 Once a Courtraier, always a Courtraier!
